What the pros use
The functional movement screen is a tool used by trainers to pin point the strengths and weaknesses of each athlete. From the information gathered, a program will be put together to target the areas most needed by the athlete. This is the most difficult part in the process. A lot of people know how to conduct the screen but the implementation of the information gathered in to the training program is where most people get it wrong.
The process may take some time, depending on how much work the athlete needs. If the dysfunction of the athlete can not be corrected with proper training, then the athlete is referred to a physical therapist who is capable to better serve the athlete. When the dysfunction is corrected and implemented into the workout, the results are amazing. Being a former division one athlete, there is nothing out there that creates results similar to this type of training regiment.
The functional movement screen is used by every team in the NFL, Seattle Sounders, University of Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, LSU, Alabama, Boise State, Notre Dame, NFL combine, etc… If you are not using the functional movement screen as part of your training, you will be amazed at the improvements you will experience in your athleticism.
