NFL COMBINE

Last week, the top college football prospects were in Indianapolis for the NFL combine.  It’s an exciting time for the athletes to work out and compete against each other.  Many athletes did quite well, and helping themselves out by having a great workout.  Other athletes weren’t so successful, and ended up hurting their overall value.  It is so difficult for these athletes to pick an agent who can be entrusted with being in control of putting them in a training facility that will prepare them for the combine.  Training for the NFL combine can cost up to $25,000 for a mere six weeks of training.  This is a lot of money upfront, but when millions of dollars are on the line, it is well worth it to put yourself in the best position to be successful.

There is no excuse for athletes to be unprepared after spending countless hours and money on their training.  Consequently, it blows my mind when an athlete performs poorly after all of this–decreasing their value to their potential future employer.  This can lose them millions of dollars–which a handful of them did last week.

The lesson to take away from this is to be careful when choosing where you do your training.  It does matter if you are trying to reach the highest level of your performance.  At DM Athletics, we will help you discover your potential at any level of competition.
