Goal Setting

One of the most important concepts that athletes can master, in order to perform at their highest level, is goal setting.  Goals are vital in keeping athletes excited and focused on the task at hand, while pushing through when the training gets difficult.  Not only do we set goals for each of our athletes, but we set a time for them to accomplish these goals–developing a program to help them reach them at that specific time.

The biggest problem in this, is that we run into are athletes that want immediate results with no or little work.  Our programming is fantastic, but it simply will not work for anyone who perceives it to be less than an all out commitment on their behalf.  The athlete not only needs to work hard when they are here, but they need to follow their nutritional program, get their rest, stay adequately hydrated, and resist participation in any activities that will be counterproductive to their performance.  This requires a fair amount of discipline and commitment on the athletes part.  When an athlete can and does make this commitment, the possibilities of their achievement are endless.
