Improve Speed

Increase your speed in before your season

One of the most effective ways to improve your speed and explosiveness is to run hills.  The ideal length is at least forty to sixty yards and the main objective is to sprint up.  Jogging, on the other hand, will not activate your fast twitch muscle fibers, thus making the exercise useless for improving your speed.  There are so many benefits for improving athletic performance and it has long been a staple training method for all athletes at all levels.
