Omega 3
Supplement to improve your performance
By: Emily Edison, Sports Dietitian/Nutrition Coach
Omega 3 Fatty Acids, from foods like salmon (and other oily fishes), walnuts and flax, have been shown in the research to have significant potential to reduce post exercise muscle soreness and increase gains we see in strength from muscle building workouts. But how is this possible?
Omega 3 from food or supplement, helps reduce inflammation in the body. This reduction in inflammation can help your muscles heal faster, therefore paving the way back to the gym.
In order to reap the benefits seen in the research, a person will need to supplement with Omega 3 fatty acids in the form of fish oil. At least 2000mg will be needed per day.
