How to Improve Your Vertical

Increasing vertical jump is one of the main goals our basketball athletes have.  Football athletes also have a goal of improving this to improve their performance at combines and pro days.  There are a few different components that go into improving your vertical.

The first, is proper technique of loading your hips.  There is a way to get the most out of your body by loading your hips properly.  Most athletes never learn how to do this and struggle at first to do it properly.  They are amazed at their gains as soon as they grasp this concept.

The second component is hip extension.  After loading the hips properly, the athlete will need to get full extension in the hips in order to generate the most power out of their body, leading them to jump as high as they possibly can.

The third component is increasing power and explosion in the athlete.  The program to accomplish this, is different for each athlete.  Each athletes goes through a screen to figure out their weaknesses and then a program can be designed to accomplish their goals.
