We work with many athletes who have a goal of earning a College scholarship. Together, we devise a plan to put them in the best possible position to do so. There are many components involved, and we focus on those that we can control.
First, we look to see if they are athletic enough. You need to have some natural athleticism to begin with, in order for this goal to be realistic. Sometimes we have to tell athletes and their parents that it may not be realistic for them to achieve this. That doesn’t mean we won’t give it all of our effort, though.
We then look at where they are in terms of speed, agility, vertical, etc.. Next, we compare it to what athletes at the College level are doing, and what it will take for our athletes to reach that level.
There is also the component of skill set. Athletes need to focus on continuing to improve their skill set as well. Improving skill set and athleticism, is the only way to perform at your highest level–while possibly having a chance to earn a scholarship.
Contact us now and we will come up with a plan to put you in the best position to be competitive at the College level.
Sincerely,
Donny Mateaki& the DM Athletics Team

Congratulations to Cici West for earning a full scholarship to Portland State University. We are all so proud of you!
“DM Athletics drives their trainees to work their hardest, pass their goals, and exceed expectations in their athletic field. After working with DM Athletics for a limited amount of time before my senior basketball season began, I felt fundamentally strong and healthy. The time and work that I put in with them in the gym, was evident in my games and statistics this season. My personal best for rebounds this year in a game was 21–a large improvement from my personal best last year (which was 16). After only working with them for two months, I felt the strongest I have ever been, when transitioning into my basketball season! I was fortunate enough to get in the gym with them and focus on areas of my body that would improve my performance on the basketball court. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to continue doing so before my first year playing College basketball!”
