There are athletes who perform really well in their sport–some of whom play professionally–other who perhaps make all star teams, yet are not in love with the sport. You can be good at something but in order to be your best, you need to love what you do. The top performers in any sport or field, love what they do. Because of this, they are willing to do things that others are not–and as a result, time tends to fly by, as they engage in mastering their craft.
Our advice for our athletes is to identify the sport that they are in love with. It can take a lot of time, commitment and discipline to be your best at anything. Why not identify, and then pour your heart into it? Sometimes we cross paths with athletes who want play better, without putting in the work to do so. This indicates a lack of love for their sport, but only of the results their performance brings–love and affection of friends and family, scholarships to college, money and so forth. Those things are great but are merely icing on the cake.
If you or someone you know is in love with their sport and want to perform at your highest level, contact us now. We guarantee to help you discover your potential!
Sincerely,
Donny Mateaki& the DM Athletics Team
