How Posture Improves Performance and Ends Pain

Ever been told you have bad posture?

Does your left knee lean against the door when you drive in your car?

All humans have asymmetry in their anatomy that influences the way they stand, sit, walk, run, and even breathe.  This asymmetry promotes our body to fall into patterns that negatively influence muscle function and structural alignment.  By addressing the underlying postural patterns, we can more effectively treat any pain you may feel while at the same time teach them how to prevent further injury.

Would you believe that you could correct this by breathing into a balloon?

Postural Restoration is a technique used by professionals to help restore proper hip mobility, reduce pain in shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, and improve both the quality of life and athletic performance of those who practice it. Some find postural restoration most effective when incorporated into warm up to ensure proper muscle function throughout a workout. Others enjoy postural restoration as a workout itself.

So these are the kind of results you can expect in using PRI.  One of the things that stand out most is the anterior pelvic tilt, which is the arch in the lower back common among athletes.  While in this position it may cause some lower back pain and over use of the hamstrings.  As you can see in the after picture the tilt in the lower back is gone and the knees, hip, shoulder and head are on the horizontal line.  The more balance we get with the body, the better the body will be able to perform at a high level and stay healthy.

It only takes a few minutes for a trained professional to assess and develop a restoration program specifically for you, and the effects are noticeable immediately!

I would like to offer a free 10-minute postural analysis with exercises for anyone who responds to this blog. Let’s develop a program to get you on the path to better overall health.

Sincerely,
