With our method of training, we are always actively seeking the best ways to help our clients achieve their goals. Those goals may have to do with speed, agility, quickness, or even staying young and fit as long as possible. We always aim to not only achieve their goals, but to also keep people safe during their workouts. Weeding through countless studies and research, has been beneficial for us in this way.
A new study published in the Journal of Cell Metabolism, noted that high intensity interval training along with strength training, are some of the best things you can do to reverse the aging process. These studies further affirm what we’ve seen in the athletic community. Those who participate in sports such as basketball, football, sprinting, soccer, and rugby, prove it to be true. A quick observation of this group in comparison to others in the same age group, will show that there is a visible difference in health and youth.
So how do we achieve similar goals? Train like they train! Instead of avoiding places which push cardio or strength training, jump right in. Adding some high intensity interval cardio and strength training to your routine, will bring excitement and challenge to what you’re already doing. It doesn’t have to be difficult. Just remember, start with the end in mind and work backwards. Define your goal, and then set things in place to help you achieve it. If staying young is not your goal, then you do not need any of it. If it is, find a way to do it.
Sincerely,
Donny Mateaki
